Getting Set Up for Your Video Visit

How it Works

Instead of just one clinician, you’ll meet with an entire team of doctors and experts ready to listen to what matters to you. Here’s how you can prepare for your clinical evaluation.

Set up your devices

For the best experience, we recommend installing the Zoom app for each device you'll be using for appointments. It's free and available for desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

Test your devices

Before your appointment, confirm that your camera and microphone are working by joining a test Zoom meeting. It’s simple to use and will walk you though step-by-step instructions to ensure you’re ready to go. If you're experiencing audio or video issues, we have some tips that can help.

Where should I be?

Please plan to be in a private, quiet, well-lit room. For your doctor to perform the best assessment, have enough space behind you so that your full body can be visible on your screen.

No cafes, no cars

Just like you would for an in-person doctor’s visit, plan to be in a private and safe location so you can give your medical team your undivided attention.

Device charged + connected!

Charge up before or keep a charger nearby. Video visits can drain your battery quickly.

Hands free, please

During your examination, you may be asked to move around and prop up your device so we can see your whole body.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing in which you can move. If you have pain in a specific body part, please wear clothing that allows you to easily expose that area for your medical exam. Please have a list of your prescription and over the counter medications with you at the time of your appointment.

How do I join?

Go to your dashboard and click “Join Now” next to your scheduled visit. You can join up to 15 minutes prior to your visit start time.

Still need help?

Below are some helpful tips for the most common issues:

I can’t hear my clinician, and/or the clinician cannot hear me.

  • Check if the microphone, speakers, or headphones are plugged in and not muted.
  • Unplug the device, then plug it back in.
  • If it’s a bluetooth device, ensure that it is turned on and connected properly.
  • Ensure that no other applications are using the microphone at the same time.
